Welcome to my personal website

I am an Assistant Professor of Criminology at Durham University. I have a practice background supporting victims of domestic abuse in a multi-agency, child protection setting. I also have many years experience working with young men in secure criminal justice settings, and neurodivergent and disabled children and young people in distress.

I am also the proud mummy of a beautiful West Highland Terrier, Lady Cleopatra

I completed my ESRC funded PhD on the statutory domestic violence perpetrator programme, Building Better Relationships, at the University of Manchester. I explored practitioner experiences of delivery and those of men who attended the programme. You can read more about the research here.

I then completed an ESRC Funded Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Durham University and the Centre for Research into Violence and Abuse. Building on my PhD, I explored international practitioners’ experiences and perspectives on how domestic violence perpetrator programmes can be more responsive to autistic and/or have ADHD men who perpetrate domestic abuse.
